As part of this growth we are looking to fill a number of job openings that have arisen within our business development team. We are looking for people that can develop business prospects with a consultative style and who possess well-developed technical and commercial acumen. The chosen candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, motivation and a passion to succeed. The successful applicant will be required to complete training in Reno (Nevada), Vancouver (Canada) and London (UK). Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with internal staff and clients to produce winning, persuasive commercial offers.
  • Facilitating relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the company at industry trade events.
  • Arranging and attending meetings as required across North America to promote the company’s products and services.
  • Market awareness and the ability to generate new leads.
  • Closing a deal and acting as project governance during delivery.
  • Contributing to the total effectiveness of the commercial team, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.
Required Experience & Skills:
  • Strong communication skills and command of both spoken and written English.
  • Minimum three years’ experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • An attention to detail.
  • Commercial and technical acumen.
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • The ability to create strong proposal documents.
  • Highly computer literate – a competent user of MS Office programs and CRM software.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience working with technical solutions in a business context.
  • Experience building relationships within an internal or external setting and creating persuasive documents and arguments.
  • Experience in infrastructure engineering or geospatial data application and practice.
  • Technical degree desirable including subjects related to engineering, computer science, earth sciences, remote sensing and maths.
