By applying comprehensive survey data of powerline crossings over roads we are able to assess the clearance distance between heavy goods and mining vehicles. We have been awarded a project in Australia to fly along a road and survey all the crossings over the road network. This will be vital in providing up to date asset information to the power operator and in identifying where the clearance distances need to be increased to ensure the safe distribution of power.
