Remote Australian distribution line to benefit from geospatial data

Posted

NM Group are delighted to have been awarded a 26km powerline project in Western Australia. The remote distribution line will be flown to collect aerial LiDAR and high resolution imagery, with the speed and direction of wind, and temperature conditions at the time of survey also being recorded.

Post capture, the data will pass through NM Group’s intelligent workflow to produce PLS-CADD™ ready files to support the clients onward work in ensuring the safety and reliability of the line.

A geospatial approach is advantageous in assisting electricity network operators in maintaining the safety and reliability of the system.
