Transmission project awarded to NM Group by northeast based utility
NM Group have been awarded a project to deliver engineering models, creating using remote sensing datasets for over 2000 miles of transmission network. This latest project will produce highly accurate PLS-CADD transmission models for each circuit in the project. These will demonstrate regulatory compliance and enable any engineering fixes to be designed.
PLS-CADD models enable operators to query the wire position under a range of different loading scenarios. Demonstrating the sag at maximum operating temperature, as well as other conditons. They can also provide the conductor sway extents, useful when reporting on the minimum line clearance distances for NERC compliance.
