PLS-CADD™ models to support engineering project for Midwestern transmission lines
We are delighted to have been commissioned a major new project for a Midwestern network. Nearly half a million customers rely on electricity supplied by this utility, so this project will LiDAR survey approximately 400 miles to support engineering works and ensure safety and reliability.
In addition to high accuracy LiDAR data we will also acquire aerial imagery. Our expert technical team will process the data, producing PLS-CADD™ models of the transmission lines. Weather conditions recorded at the time of survey will be run through our advanced calculation algorithms to determine the line sag at varying loading scenarios. These deliverables will support internal engineering operations within the utility.
